Lindsey Hillesheim, Ph.D.
Dr. Lindsey Hillesheim joined Adventium Enterprises in 2012 as a Senior Principal Research Scientist. At Adventium, she develops new business, manages proposals and research programs. Previously, Dr. Hillesheim was an Advisory Scientist at Strategic Analysis, Inc. (SAI) in Arlington, VA, where she provided technical expertise and program management assistance in the biomedical and physical sciences to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). There she helped her clients successfully pitch several multi-million dollar programs. In addition, she analyzed proposals and white papers, evaluated technologies, assessed performers, and met with Department of Defense partners to develop technology transition paths. Prior to joining SAI, Dr. Hillesheim was an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science and Technology Policy fellow at the Department of State, where she identified opportunities and developed strategies to advance U.S. foreign policy objectives in health and biodefense. She also served as the U.S. lead for the G8 Bioterrorism Experts Group and planned several first-ever international biodefense exercises. Dr. Hillesheim has over eight years of research experience in academic and clinical settings.
Dr. Hillesheim serves on the alumni advisory board for the Valparaiso University’s honors college. She was awarded the University of Minnesota’s Sharon L. Doherty Award in 2005 for her volunteer service on campus and in the broader community.
