Mr. Isle is a founder of Adventium Labs and currently serves as a member of the technical staff. His current technical focus is in assessment of critical infrastructure safety and security. Mr. Isle is currently supporting the DOE NESCOR program to improve the cyber security readiness of the next generation power grid.
Mr. Isle was a key member of a DoD program related to vulnerability assessment for force protection and a Department of Homeland Security program to apply advanced cyber protection technology to control systems for critical infrastructure including manufacturing and process control systems. Mr. Isle provides consulting services to Adventium’s commercial clients including technical program reviews, advice on effective engineering operations, integration of new technology, and creating go-to-market strategies. Mr. Isle has more than 20 publications dealing with a wide range of topics including: security, sensor networks, user interface design, maintenance and diagnostic systems, high speed communication, and the delivery and use of expert systems.
Mr. Isle is on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota chapter of the InfraGard organization. Sponsored by the FBI, InfraGard focuses on critical infrastructure and improving regional resilience. Mr. Isle was recognized with the 2008 National InfraGard Challenge Award for his leadership in the creation of the Public-Private Coordination and Action Team (P2CAT). Mr. Isle supports the local chapter’s Program Committee and the Intelligence Committee.
Mr. Isle is a Senior Fellow at the Technology Leadership Institute at the University of Minnesota, teaching vulnerability and risk assessment methods for critical infrastructure. Mr. Isle is on the Board of Advisors for the University of Minnesota’s Engineering and Computer Engineering department, a member of the National Classification Management Society, and a professional engineer registered in Minnesota.
